Snack Date With Snack Out Loud Power Puffs boom

You guys I have found the perfect snack for playdates. These Power Puffs from Snack Out Loud Foods are perfect for the littles and the adults. They are non-GMO and free of corn, peanuts and gluten and two flavors are dairy free. Unlike other puffs these ones are filled with protein and fiber which in my book is a huge selling point. Also ummm check out the packaging!! So fun!

For our playdate last week we opened up the White Cheddar and the Sweet & Tangy BBQ. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day here in the Pacific Northwest so the photos are a bit on the dark side some and for reason I didn’t get a photo of the white cheddar one. Anyways back to the food. Since our family doesn’t do dairy we avoided the white cheddar ones but they were a favorite of K and her mom and L (the little boy below). Snack Date With Snack Out Loud Power Puffs

Edith and I were partial to the BBQ and L enjoyed the BBQ as well. Edith actual ate 3/5 of the bag of the BBQ ones and then asked for more. Too bad for her (and me) we didn’t have any more though.

I will admit the flavors of these puffs maybe be a little bit more mature than some kids are used to but lucky for us our snack date/play date kids love to eat and aren’t super picky. One other thing to note is that these may look like a puff but the texture/consistency isn’t quite what you might expect. The texture/consistency is really dense and are much more like a hybrid of a puff and that crunchy version of that crazy orange snack that won’t be named. That all being said they taste great. One of the other mom’s at the playdate said that she would definitely purchase the white cheddar flavor. Snack Date With Snack Out Loud Power Puffs snap

The only flavor I can say didn’t go over well with Edith was the Sea Salt & Vinegar. Neil and I however devoured them because they were so stinking good. The sea salt & vinegar are super flavorful and have that acidic vinegar burn you want from a salt and vinegar snack.

Verdict: The Power Puffs were a winner. The dairy eaters loved the White Cheddar, the BBQ were also a hit and the Sea Salt & Vinegar where popular with the adults.

Now I need to get my hands on some more of these because they are just so good.

  1. Both the BBQ and White Cheddar sound great – I miss having these sort of snacks once I realized what were in the ones I had growing up, so I’ll have to keep an eye out for these healthier alternatives!
