Snack Date | 1 | Fruigees & Veggie-Go’s

Welcome to the start of one of our newest and delicious projects! We are going to have a weekly blog series featuring family friendly food products for Snack Dates. Basically each week our family and a few other families get together for a playdate but the thing is our growing tots and babies seem to want to spend the majority of their playdates snacking! That’s when we came up with the idea to do a snack date and each week we will try out a new snack or two and feature them on our blog.

Veggie-Go’s are also really tasty. These little fruit leathers are filled with 1/2 a serving of fruit and 1/2 a serving of vegetables and contain only fruits and veggies – no other additives. They are individually packaged which make them great to throw in a diaper bag and to take to playdates, on hikes, travel or simply just to have as a snack at home. As for the flavors they all taste great but we found that the TropiKale and Cinnamon Spiced Beet were a little tougher to eat for the tots. The overall favorite was the Mountain Berry Spinach which isn’t a surprise because who doesn’t love berries? Snack Date - 4.17.15 - veggie-gos shosh

The Fruigees went over well with the tots and one tot, K., who isn’t always as interested in packets slurped hers up and asked for more! That right there is a sign of a good product. Edith loves packets so it wasn’t hard to convince her to try one and S. loves snacks so she was thrilled to try it as well. I found these packets to be different than others that I have tried before. They are smoother and sweeter than other packets but still good and made of quality ingredients. These would be especially great for kids who are sensitive to textures. Overall these tasted good, are easy to take along and the tots enjoyed them.Snack Date - 4.17.15 - frugiees

  1. What a fun idea to have fruit (and sneak in veggies too) in a different way that is also very convenient when on the go and not messy either. We certainly have come a long way from the fruit roll ups of the past!

  2. First of all, your kiddos are ADORABLE! Second, why in the world didn’t they have those when my kiddos were younger! They look really delicious (and bonus for being healthy!!!). Thanks for sharing!
